Michael Bryant has been President and CEO of Methodist Health Services Corporation since July 1999. Michael is very active in community, economic development and educational organizations. He and his wife, Paula, are co-chairs of the Heart of Illinois United Way Campaign. He is co-founder of PeoriaNEXT, a consortium of research based institutions, including global giant Caterpillar, Bradley University, National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, UICOMP, and Methodist Medical Center, among others that are leading Peoria and Central Illinois into the 21st Century knowledge economy. He is currently Chair of the CEO Roundtable, a group of business and community leaders committed to achieving the economic development agenda for the region. He is a board member of the Indiana University Life Sciences Collaboration and the Indiana University Kelley School Dean's Advisory Council. He is a member of the Quality Improvement Committee of Premier, Inc., the country's largest hospital consortium. He authors a monthlly article on health and community issues affecting Central Illinois and is a guest lecturer on health and life sciences at the Indiana University Kelley MBA program.
