Methodist Wins National Top Performer Award

Peoria, Illinois (November 26, 2008)- Press Ganey Associates, Inc. has named Methodist Medical Center a 2008 Summit Award Winner for Outpatient Services. The Summit Award recognizes top performing facilities that sustain the highest level of customer satisfaction for three or more consecutive years. The Press Ganey Summit Award is the health care satisfaction industry’s most coveted symbol of achievement bestowed annually.

Press Ganey currently partners with more than 7,000 health care facilities—including over 40% of U.S. hospitals—to measure and improve the quality of their care. The company’s databases are the largest in the industry, and allow facilities nationwide to benchmark their results against peer organizations.

Methodist President and CEO Michael Bryant said, " This award is a real testament to the dedication at Methodist to improving and sustaining an outstanding level of patient care."

Methodist outpatient satisfaction scores have been at or above the 95th percentile for the past seven years.

The award was presented at the National Press Ganey Conference November 17- 19, 2008.
