Fraternal Order of Eagles makes $5,000 Gift to Methodist
At their statewide banquet Saturday March 12, the Fraternal Order of Eagles presented a check for $5,000 to the Methodist Medical Center Foundation for use in cardiac care and research at Methodist.
The check was presented on behalf of the Eagles by statewide president Bonnie McQueen of Decatur. The banquet was hosted by Peoria Aerie #265.
The Eagles, a national philanthropic organization that raises and contributes more than $12 million dollars each year to charitable causes across the country, has been supportive to Methodist since 1983. More than $123,000 has been given to the Methodist Foundation by the Eagles since that time.
The status of Lifetime Member of the Methodist Medical Center Foundation’s President’s Society was conferred on the Fraternal Order of Eagles by Methodist Foundation Vice President Rebekah Bourland in appreciation for their continuing support.
