Jenna Nehl, RN, BSN, Nurse Manager

Rehabilitation

"I love being a nurse at Methodist because I have been able to work for an outstanding organization that supports tremendous values. Methodist lives and breathes our mission and values on a daily basis. ‘We are committed to delivering outstanding healthcare. Period.’"

"When I was a new nurse here at Methodist, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, where I wanted to work, or where my future as a nurse would take me. I knew quickly that I was staying at Methodist for the "long haul" because it is somewhere I can practice safe nursing care with high quality outcomes in a warm and caring atmosphere. As a new nurse I was concerned about getting around such a big place, and every corner I turned someone was there to help me. I went through a wonderful orientation program that provided 12 weeks of one-on-one attention from a dedicated preceptor and great support from my nurse manager and all of the staff on the unit and in the hospital."

"A lot of things have changed over the past 10 years since I have been at Methodist, such as Magnet Status, Joint Commission disease-specific certifications, a newly developed New Hire Support Program, and many other programs that have added to my satisfaction working here. I have moved into a leadership role at Methodist through the support and growth opportunities that this organization has provided for me. I have recently taken advantage of the tuition reimbursement program, returning to school for my master's degree, because I want to continue my "journey" with this wonderful organization that I call my "home away from home."
