What's so great about being a nurse at Methodist?

"Early in my nursing career, I worked in the

surgical ICU at Methodist.  I loved helping save lives!

...After a few years, I floated to different patient floors.  I had good

teachers, and my managers showed they cared about me and my

family by being flexible with my schedule.  I grew from good people

around me who encouraged me...  After almost 10 years as

a nurse at Methodist, I'm still growing!"

"I appreciate Methodist's size - no one is a stranger here...

As a University of Phoenix online student, I've been able to chat with

fellow students who practice nursing all over the country.  I'm happy

to report that we seem to be on top of our game...  Methodist is big on

evidence-based practice that includes nursing research projects.

We don't follow the road - we pave it."

"I have been able to work for an outstanding organization...

I knew quickly that I was staying at Methodist for the "long haul"

because it is somewhere I can practice safe nursing care with high quality

outcomes in a warm and caring atmosphere.  As a new nurse I was concerned

about getting around such a big place, and every corner I turned

someone was there to help me."

"When I walk down the halls at Methodist, people say 'hi'...

and they smile! As a nursing student at Bradley University, I did my

clinical rotations at four hospitals. I'm a Peoria native, and knew I was

going to stay in Peoria, so I picked the hospital where I wanted to work

based on my experiences as a student. My boss is wonderful. She'll do

anything for me. She adjusts my schedule to fit my family life."
