Wellmobile Ankle Brachial Index Screening
Description: Through the assessment of blood pressures in both arms and ankles, the Wellmobile is able to determine a person’s risk for peripheral artery disease (PAD). This disease causes the narrowing of the arteries to the arms, legs and internal organs, and increases a person's risk for heart attack or stroke. Blood glucose/cholesterol, blood pressure and spirometry are also included with this screening.
Requirements: An 8-12 hour fast is required for the blood glucose/cholesterol portion of the screening. Participant must have clean and dry feet and be able to remove shoes, socks or stockings. No appointment necessary.
