Interpreter Assistance

If you or someone you know is coming to Methodist and will need assistance communicating, please print out the Communications Assistance Form to bring with you to the hospital. 

In-hospital Interpreter Services

If you need interpretation services while you are at Methodist, please let your nurse know when you arrive.  They will be able to contact someone who can assist you.

Phone Interpreter Services

Interpreter services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for over 140 languages via language link services to all MMCI offices.  Calls are connected to an interpreter within an average of 25 seconds.  Language identification cards are available in the nursing offices and the Emergency Department to assist in identifying needed language when unable to determine. 

TTY and Hard of Hearing Telephones

Methodist has TTY telephones and hard-of-hearing telephones for the hearing impaired.  A TTY phone is located in the Emergency Department and at the Information Desk in the hospital lobby.  Both types of phones are available for patient use.
