Outpatient Behavioral Health Services (All Ages)
Methodist offers behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families in a flexible outpatient setting. Problems for people in this program are not severe enough to require inpatient care. These services also help individuals and families who may not qualify financially for other behavioral health services in the community.
Our therapists help people with:
Referrals
Anyone can refer an individual to Methodist Behavioral Health Services, including physicians, therapists, school personnel, and employee assistance program counselors. Individuals may call to set up appointments for themselves.
Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Adults who have symptoms that interfere with or prevent their ability to function in their home, community, or workplace, but which are not severe enough to require inpatient hospitalization, may benefit from partial hospitalization program (PHP) Care.
PHP Care is an intensive, active, therapeutic program that offers many behavioral health services in an outpatient setting. PHP Care is a more flexible and less costly alternative to inpatient treatment.
Clients attend sessions at Methodist during daytime hours Monday through Friday. Going home each evening allows participants to remain as independent as possible and to practice new skills. When they return to the program each day, patients receive encouragement and support.
The goal is for individuals to...
- Gain insight into their problems
- Improve their coping skills
- Make positive life choices
Master's-level mental health professionals lead all sessions with the oversight of a Methodist Medical Group psychiatrist. The average length of treatment in the PHP is 10 days. For more information about the Adult Partial Hospitalization program, please call 672-5609.
