Coronary Valve Repair/Replacement

Heart valve repair involves surgery that corrects a defective heart valve. Heart valve replacement is an open-heart surgery in which a defective valve cannot be repaired so it is replaced with either a biological or mechanical valve. The conditions most often treated by heart valve repair or replacement include narrowing (stenosis) or leaking (regurgitation) of one of the heart’s four valves.
