Personalized Rehabiliation
Cardio-pulmonary rehab provides exercise, monitoring and education to help make your heart and lungs stronger. Methodist offers 3 phases of cardio-pulmonary rehab:
-
Phase I begins in the hospital and lays the foundation for the lifestyle and behavioral changes needed for you to recuperate.
-
Phase II consists of 8 to 12 weeks of outpatient telemetry monitored exercise at Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab. Your program is designed for you based on your doctor's recommendations, 6 minute walk test, vital signs and perceived exertion scale.
-
Phase III provides long-term maintenance of your heart/lung fitness through continuous training and education. EKG monitoring occurs only when your signs or symptoms warrant it.
