Welcome to Nuclear Medicine at Methodist!

Nuclear Medicine is used to nonsurgically diagnose and treat diseases.  All nuclear imaging procedures are very safe.  The amount of radiation in most nuclear medicine procedures is no more than what you would normally receive during an x-ray.  Most nuclear medicine tests done at Methodist are outpatient procedures where a very small amount of radioactive material is injected, swallowed or inhaled.
