About Us

Our Facility

The Wellness Center is conveniently located in the lower level of the beautiful Methodist Atrium building.  Our fitness center is fully equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines, Stairmasters, Cybex® progressive resistance equipment, free weights, and an aerobics area.  Our aquatic center features a lap pool and heated therapy pool.

Manager of Wellness & Disease Management Programs

Michelle is responsible for the day to day operations of the Wellness Center, Cardio Pulmonary Rehab and Diabetes Care.  She obtained her bachelors degree from Western Illinois University and her masters degree from Illinois State University.

Diana assists Michelle in providing quality adult programming, day to day operations, and growth development of the Wellness Center.  She obtained her bachelors degree from Illinois State University.

Exercise Specialist

Kendra is responsible for leading exercises for persons with medical limitations, assisting in the planning and implementation of fitness programs, developing screening procedures, assisting in education, and is a key member of the health team.  She earned her bachelors degree from Illinois State University.

Jeremy is responsible for leading exercises for persons with medical limitations, assisting in the planning and implementation of fitness programs, developing screening procedures, assisting in education, and is a key member of the health team.  He earned his bachelors degree from Western Illinois University.

Brandon is responsible for leading exercises for persons with medical limitations, assisting in the planning and implementation of fitness programs, developing screening procedures, assisting in education, and is a key member of the health team.  He earned his bachelors degree and masters degree in Kinesiology from Western Illinois University.

 

 Heather Winfrey-Richman

Health Education Representative

Heather organizes, presents and implements various wellness education programs in the Wellness Center, including Weight Watchers at Work. She assists in coordinating health screenings for the Methodist Wellmobile, data collection, patient testing, patient education, and ensures a smooth health screening experience for patients and staff. Heather believes it is important that each patient fully understand their screening results so they can make the necessary lifestyle changes to improve overall health.  Heather received bachelors degrees in health education, commuity/public health education, and familiy and consumer sciences.  She is a certified teacher and EMT-B.
