When you come to Methodist, the trip is on us!

This service is for patients of all ages.  One person may accompany you in the van.  If you live in Peoria and are limited to a wheelchair, Methodist's wheelchair accessible Courtesy Van can offer safe and reliable transportation to and from the hospital.

Getting to the hospital

If you live in the Tri-County area, and you are coming to Methodist for hospitalization or outpatient surgery and diagnostic tests, you can take advantage of our FREE courtesy van service.

  • Hours are from 6:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • You must live in Peoria, Tazewell or Woodford county.
  • Transportation available for handicapped.

Getting home

Some wait time may be incurred for your return trip home.  Please make sure to reserve your return trip when you reserve your trip to the hospital.

  • The courtesy van does not service the emergency department.
  • When canceling, a 24-hour notice must be given.
  • The services provided are limited to the van's scheduled availability which is a first-call, first-service basis.
