When you come to Methodist, an award winning staff of nurses cares for you. In 2005, Methodist became the first hospital in downstate Illinois to receive the Magnet Award for Excellence in Nursing Services from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet status is awarded to select hospitals for a four-year period, and we earned it again in 2009!
The ANCC is the world's largest and most prestigious nurse credentialing organization. Receiving the Magnet Award means that our nurses are:
